Overview
Team Vambrace were a famous hero combo Golden age. Comprised of scientist James St. John-Smythe, the designer of the Vambrace armor, and ex-football hero Brandon Warfield, the suits wearer. Both were co-founders of The Freedom Phalanx which was founded on July 4, 1932.

The Freedom Phalanx
According to the City of Heroes novel The Freedom Phalanx, Vambrace was referred to as a singular entity saying that Vambrace retired in 1957, showed signs of Alzheimer's by 1964, and died in 1972. (p. 108)
