Contact Introduced By[]

New Contact(s)[]

There's a talented young lawyer named Athena Currie who you should talk to. She's a big community activist and has had some serious run-ins with the Clockwork. Miss Currie practices law in Steel Canyon.

Athena can really use the help of a hero like you.

You should introduce yourself to Genevieve Sanders. She's a pharmacist with a heart of gold who does a lot of community work, and she loves to help heroes against the Hellions and the Circle of Thorns. Genevieve is near the hospital in Kings Row.

She is one of the nicest people I know.

Vic Johansson's good police. He'll steer you towards some interesting opportunities involving the Lost, and help smooth things over with law enforcement. His beat is Kings Row.

Vic is good people. You will enjoy working with him.

There's a gun dealer named Carla Brunelli who would like to meet you. She's a very responsible, proactive woman who's helped a number of heroes in her time. She is deeply troubled by the Clockwork. Their presence in Skyway City means that she can usually be found there.

Carla is tough but fair.

Information[]

Inventor's Assistant

Maurice Feldon is one of Paragon Polytechnic Institute's most notable recent graduates. His thesis won the National Inventor's Prize in mechanical engineering, but his reputation is hardly that of a shy scientist. Instead, he's known around town as a bit of a loose cannon and a ladies' man. Maurice turned down a number of lucrative research jobs to work as an assistant to Dr. Ann-Marie Engles. He is helping her on a top-secret project, which many speculate must have something to do with his much-loved field of robotics. Despite his devotion to his research, Maurice likes to get out of the lab when he can. Among his many hobbies he includes a bit of amateur sleuthing, and he especially likes to dig into science- and technology-based villainy. He's had a few run-ins with the police, which makes him less than eager to work with the law. Luckily, he has no qualms about passing on his information to heroes, especially if they return the favor.

Initial Contact[]

I hear you are the kind of hero who can get things done. If that's true, we are going to get along fine.

Missions[]

Talk to the Steel Canyon Security Chief[]

Briefing

There is trouble in Steel Canyon. Get your assignment from the Security Chief.

You will probably be dealing with the Outcasts, so be ready for anything.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Talk to Security Chief in Steel Canyon

Briefing

Here is some info on the area. I need you to get out on the streets and contain the Outcasts. They can usually be found in Blyde Square or the Cooper District.

Icon clue generic
Steel Canyon briefing
Steel Canyon is the financial district of Paragon City. Many national banks, insurance companies, and investment firms have their headquarters in this zone. In fact, so much money flows through Steel Canyon, Paragon City ranks among America's richest cities. Success has spurred the construction of so many skyscrapers that the place looks like a canyon made of concrete, glass and metal. The zone isn't without its dangers, though. The Outcasts have claimed the area as their own, and they've recruited a lot of kids with mutant powers related to the elements. That's what the Outcasts love best—beating down their enemies with the power of the elements.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Keep peace in Steel Canyon
    • Defeat 10 Outcasts

You have defeated 10 Outcasts.

Enemies

Badge villain outcasts Outcasts

Debriefing

Well done; those Outcasts are a powerful bunch. It seems the number of mutants in the city is increasing rapidly.

See Perez Park Security Chief[]

Briefing

The Security Chief for Perez Park asked for you by name. You should take that as a compliment. Go talk to him. He's located in Atlas Park near the gates to Perez Park.

Perez Park is a dangerous place these days. Clearly the Chief thinks you can handle it, but take a couple of friends with you, just in case.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Talk to Security Chief

Briefing

Take this briefing seriously. I need you to deal with some of the Circle of Thorns mystics that have been plaguing the area. Try looking for them in Bettis Hills.

Icon clue generic
Perez Park briefing
Perez Park used to be a beautiful place to take your family for an afternoon picnic. Now, no one in his right mind wanders in there. Most of the area has been abandoned, largely due to the rumors of unholy Circle of Thorns rites taking place deep within the forest. The park is entirely overgrown, a perfect place for those strange mystics to summon up a demon or two. This zone is so deadly that even heroes shouldn't go in there in groups of fewer than three.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Keep the peace in Perez Park
    • Defeat 10 Circle of Thorns

Enemies

Debriefing

I guess the Chief's confidence in you was well placed. Fantastic job.

Discourage the Clockwork scavenging in Kings Row[]

Briefing

This Clockwork scavenging is becoming a real problem in Kings Row. Those little metal menaces are taking street lamps, sewer grates, and everything else they can get their mitts on. I need you to discourage the Clockwork scavenging in Kings Row. Otherwise, that whole zone is going to turn into a death trap!

Royal Refinery and Freedom Plaza are particularly overrun, but I'm sure any neighborhood in the zone would welcome your assistance.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Combat Clockwork in Kings Row
    • Defeat 10 Clockwork

You have discouraged the Clockwork from scavenging in Kings Row.

Debriefing

Kings Row is a lot safer now, thanks to you.

Go to Castenada Export locate any clues you can and shut down the Clockwork plot[]

Briefing

We've got reports of some Clockwork down at the old abandoned Castenada Export warehouse complex. Sources say they're using it as a staging area for a massive attack against the city. We've never heard of the Clockwork trying anything this bold! It's absolutely imperative that you go to Castenada Export and shut down the Clockwork plot!

I hear there's a large robot inside called Clanger. Watch out for it while you are hunting for information.

Mission Objective(s)

This warehouse once belonged to a highly successful company, but there is no evidence of its former glory.

  • Defeat Clanger and its guards
    • Find evidence of plot

You defeated the Clockwork and found the diary of the Clockwork King.

Icon clue generic
Diary of the Clockwork King
This diary is filled with the frenzied ramblings of the Clockwork King. In one section he writes:

'This hero reminds me so much of the vigilante who destroyed my body and left me to this metal shell. I must eliminate this new threat.'

Notes

  • The name of the warehouse can vary. Possibilities include APS Warehousing, Castenada Export, and Jovian Storage.
  • The name of the boss can vary. Possibilities include Cables, Clanger, Clockwise, Mecha, and Piston.

Debriefing

So, the Clockwork were planning nothing more than your demise! I'm sorry I sent you into a trap, but this diary may well be worth the risk. It should give us valuable new insights into the Clockwork King's madness. I must admit I always wondered why he had transplanted his brain into a Clockwork robot. Now I know. It's no wonder that he hates heroes so much, if it was one of them who consigned him to that fate. It's a sad thing, really. With his brilliant engineering skills, the Clockwork King could have been a hero in his own right.
