Story Arc Edit
The Mysterious General Z
You've kept this small cog from a Lockhart Aerotech jet pack, as a reminder of the time you took your orders from:
The Mysterious General Z
It all began when you saved Ambassador T'mbe Alwani of West Libertalia from Sky Raiders assassins, along with his mysterious companion. Unfortunately, the Sky Raiders stole the evidence the ambassador had assembled regarding their terrorist activities in his country.
You were then contacted by a mysterious man calling himself General Z, who tipped you off to the location of the stolen West Libertalian evidence. You recovered the evidence from the Sky Raiders.
General Z next told you about a pending Sky Raider strike on a Lockhart Aerotech warehouse. When you got there, you discovered that Sky Raider attacks where a common occurrence there, almost as if the flying mercenaries were making regular supply runs.
General Z next gave you the location of Gil Armand, a fugitive politician with ties to the Sky Raiders. After you captured him, you learned that all of the evidence against him was stolen by his Sky Raiders cronies.
General Z came through again, with the location of the Sky Raider base where the evidence against Armand was kept. There you found a government document proposing that the U.S. Employ the Sky Raiders for deniable illegal operations around the world. This document was authored by Armand and signed by several important military industrial figures, including Tyrone Lockhart, the head of Lockhart Aerotech.
You went to a Lockhart office to get more information, but the Sky Raiders got there first. You prevented them from destroying the evidence and uncovering several tantalizing clues, including the location of a secret research facility that was working on next generation Sky Raider equipment.
General Z warned you that the secret facility was about to be destroyed by the Sky Raiders, and you arrived in time to stop them. As it turned out, the researchers thought they were working on new prototypes for the government. They had been given advanced technology to reverse engineer: technology belonging to the arch-villain Nemesis.
General Z's next tip was cut off when a plane carrying retired General Howard Aarons was attacked in flight. You rescued the general from the Sky Raiders, and he revealed that he was in fact the mysterious General Z. Year ago he had been in charge of the military unit that would eventually go rogue and become the Sky Raiders. He had guided you to these secrets to try and undo some of the damage. Due to the evidence you uncovered, numerous signers of Gil Armand's document resigned in disgrace. Tyrone Lockhart is under investigation for his connection to the Sky Raiders. And General Aarons thanked you, calling you a true hero.
Thwart the assassination attempt Edit
There've been rumors circulating in the underground that the Sky Raiders are planning to assassinate T'mbe Alwani, the Ambassador from the African country of West Libertalia. I need someone to thwart that assassination attempt. Are you up to it?
If anything happens to the ambassador, we'll have to call this mission a failure. You had better bring along some extra emergency teleporters just in case.
Ambassador Alwani must be protected. If he dies, we could well have an international incident on our hands.
You hear a shout and a loud crash. Then silence.
- Stop Sky Raider assassination
- 3 people to rescue
- Take Ambassador to exit
You defeated the Sky Raiders and saved the ambassador and his entourage.
|A mysterious statement|
|One of the men you rescued told you:
'I can't tell you what this was about, but if you want to learn, then maybe we can help each other out. I think we may have a mutual acquaintance we can work through. Your friend should get a message from me soon.'
These flying mercenaries the ambassador described sound like the Sky Raiders. There have been rumors of high tech flying mercenaries working globally, and the Raiders' attempt on the Ambassador's life only confirm it.
Recover the stolen evidence Edit
I just got a strange message from someone calling himself General Z. According to him, the evidence that the Sky Raiders stole from Ambassador Alwani is being held in an old unused warehouse. If you can recover this stolen evidence, it could bring Sky Raider foreign operations to a halt.
That evidence should be enough to link the Sky Raiders to dozens of illegal operations in Africa.
According to the mysterious General Z, Ambassador Alwani's evidence is being held in this warehouse.
- Recover the stolen evidence
You recovered Ambassador Alwani's evidence against the Sky Raiders.
- Assault Jump Bot
|West Libertalian records|
|This extensive body of evidence makes it clear that the Sky Raiders are behind the terrorist actions in West Libertalia. Photos, eyewitness accounts, and recovered Sky Raider Equipment all corroborate the story.|
Those West Libertalians are really thorough. Look at all of this evidence. There's no question that the Sky Raiders have been involved in those raids against Ambassador Alwani's Country.
Check the warehouse Edit
I got another tip from this mysterious General Z. He thinks it would be a good idea to investigate a local warehouse that's storing some equipment manufactured by Lockhart Aerotech. He mentioned that the records at the warehouse could give us some more information on the Sky Raiders' mercenary actions in West Libertalia. Considering his last time, maybe you should check out this warehouse.
These little tips from General Z seem to be good as gold. I wonder who he is?
Check that warehouse thoroughly.
General Z's second tip has led you to this Lockhart Aerotech warehouse. The first thing you notice is that there seems to be no one here to meet you.
- Recover records from warehouse
- Seek evidence, Speak with foreman
You found that the equipment stolen from Lockhart Aerotech was being used by Sky Raiders in West Libertalia.
- Assault Jump Bot
- Warehouse Foreman (NPC Hostage)
|These records show a consistent pattern of thefts from this warehouse. Every two weeks, a batch of advanced parts comes into the warehouse; these parts are always stolen on the following night. The serial numbers on the stolen equipment match those on the Sky Raider gear seized by the West Libertalian government.|
|This box and many others like it are full of advanced parts produced by Lockhart Aerotech.|
|The foreman's story|
|When you rescued the warehouse foreman, he told you:
'I guess you could say I'm used to those Sky Raiders by now. They raid this place on a regular basis, but my bosses don't want me to call the police on account of insurance costs. I just keep my head down and record what they take.'
The mysterious General Z was right; these records are most illuminating. It seems the Sky Raiders have been stealing tech from Lockhart for a long time. Then they've been using that technology in their mercenary campaign in West Libertalia. But from the records you found at Lockhart's warehouse, I'm not sure you interrupted a theft at all. More like a regular supply run. I'm going to have some people I know look into this.
Capture the fugitive politician Edit
We got another message from the mysterious General Z. He says that you should talk to a senator named Gil Armand about his foreign policy work. He even knows where to find him, which is something the police may be interested in. Gil Armand was indicted just this morning for connections to the Sky Raiders. The police took most of his papers as evidence, but Armand himself disappeared. If you could capture this fugitive politician, we could get two jobs done at once.
According to General Z, you'll be able to find Gil Armand in an unused section of the sewers.
This old section of the sewers seems like the perfect hiding place for a traitor.
- Capture Armand and his guards
You captured Gil Armand, the traitorous politician.
- Gil Armand (Sky Raiders Captain)
|Gil Armand's story|
|When you captured him, Gil Armand spat out:
'Foolish hero! You may have caught me, but I will tell you nothing. Even as we speak, my brothers within the Sky Raiders have already stolen all the evidence that implicates me. You'll never find our secret base or retrieve your precious evidence.
It looks like Senator Armand wasn't lying. The Sky Raiders hit the police van that was carrying all the evidence tying Armand to their organization. You got Armand himself, at least. That's one fewer villain out on the streets.
Get the evidence back from the Sky Raiders Edit
General Z just sent me the location of a Sky Raider base we should be interested in. According to Z, this base is where the Sky Raiders are keeping the evidence that links Senator Gil Armand to their organization. The police sure would like to see that evidence returned. Of course, you'll have to go through the Sky Raiders to get it back. Can you do it?
I feel nervous sending you out on this one. General Z's tips have been good so far, but I still haven't been able to learn his identity.
You know that this is going to be dangerous, but the only way you're going to reach the truth is by fighting through the Sky Raiders to get there.
- Recover evidence from Sky Raiders
- 4 files to recover
You have recovered all the evidence from the Sky Raiders Base.
|Non-Conventional Force Deployment|
|This government document, authored by the traitorous Senator Armand, proposes using a mercenary force for deniable black operations around the world. It specifically points to the Sky Raiders as prime candidates, citing Colonel Virgil Duray's strong sense of loyalty to the United States, despite his current rogue status. The document's signers include high-ranking military man and several prominent military contractors, among them one Tyrone Lockhart of Lockhart Aerotech.|
I can't believe this government document. It's incendiary! It proposes using the Sky Raiders as mercenaries for illegal government operations. And it squarely states that Colonel Duray and the missing members of Vigilance didn't die, but went rogue. This could destroy the careers of numerous people in the military and intelligence community. I'll make sure that everything gets back to the police, and that copies of this paper get to the right people. This General Z isn't playing games.
Head to the Lockhart Aerotech office Edit
General Z's tips have led us to some remarkable conclusions, and I think we need to follow up on them. In particular, I'd like to know more about the connection between Lockhart Aerotech and the Sky Raiders. Can you head over to the Lockhart office and ask around?
I'd sure like to know why Tyrone Lockhart is advocating government use of mercenaries. The same mercenaries who are supposed to be stealing from his company, no less!
It's no visual clue that tips you off to the Sky Raiders' presence. It's the subtle whiff of gun polish.
- Seek evidence at Lockhart
- 4 bombs left, 3 clues left
You've prevented the Sky Raiders from destroying both the Aerotech office and the evidence you found there.
- Jump Bot Incinerator
|Buried within the lines of this research budget are appropriations fro a special laboratory. This lab is assigned to research jet pack propulsion; it looks like it could be a secret factory for Sky Raider equipment.|
|This picture shows Tyrone Lockhart, majority owner of Lockhart Aerotech, standing near a prototype jet pack with three other men. One of them is identifiable as Col. Virgil Duray, leader of the Sky Raiders. A second is clearly Wayne Evans, the deceased hero Indomitable. The third man is an older military officer identified as General Aarons. He looks quite familiar.|
|These order forms seem perfectly normal at first glance. However, closer inspection reveals that they list the items the Sky Raiders have stolen from Lockhart Aerotech over the last few months.|
It's a good thing you got there when you did, or the Sky Raiders would have bombed that Lockhart office to smithereens. A lot of people owe you their lives today.
I guess the Sky Raiders were trying to destroy this evidence you found. And I can see why! This strongly hints that Lockhart Aerotech is working with the Sky Raiders. In the right hands, it's enough to start an investigation, at the very least.
Protect the research facility Edit
We have another tip from General Z. It seems the Sky Raiders are going to clear out that secret research facility you learned about. They don't want any evidence of their connection to Lockhart Aerotech to fall into your hands. Can you protect that research facility and prevent a massacre?
Most of those researchers probably didn't even know that their hard work was going to help the Sky Raiders.
The security system is already offline. You only hope the Sky Raiders haven't finished their grim work.
- Defeat lead Raider, his guards
- Save technician! 3 clues to find
You saved the researchers and kept the Sky Raiders from acquiring the lab's prototypes.
- Jump Bot Incinerator
- Technician (NPC Hostage)
There is not a named leader for this mission.
|These are plans and early prototypes for advanced versions of several key Sky Raider technologies.|
|The brass fittings and delicate filigree mark these weapons as Nemesis' technology. Each piece is in perfect condition. You have to wonder how Lockhart Aerotech obtained them.|
|These detailed notes show that the direction of this facility's research was often based on mandates from the company CEO, Tyrone Lockhart. The researchers specialized in reverse engineering acquired technology.|
|The researcher's story|
|When you rescued the researcher, he told you:
'I was told to shut down the lab's security system pending an upgrade today. We needed the upgrade to provide extra security for the military team that's coming to see our new prototypes. I hear they're looking into the creation of a new Vigilance team!'
Looks like General Z pointed us in the right direction again. Not only is all the evidence linking the Sky Raiders to Lockhart Aerotech still intact, but you've also kept those flying mercenaries from getting their hands on those new weapon prototypes.
Rescue General Aarons Edit
General Z just contacted me by phone, but he got cut off in the middle of our conversation. And I think I know why. Channel 6 just ran a story about the Sky Raiders attacking a private jet in flight. According to the newscaster, the Sky Raiders kidnapped returned General Howard Aarons.
Looks like the Sky Raiders may have figured out Z's identity and decided to strike against him. I need you to rescue General Aarons. After all he's done for us, it's the least we can do. Take this spare emergency teleporter, just in case.
General Aarons put himself on the line to get all of this information about the Sky Raiders into the open.
The Sky Raiders are sure to put up a fight, but you're ready for anything they can throw at you.
- Rescue General Aarons
- Seek clues, Unlock back room
You rescued General Aarons from the Sky Raiders.
- Jump Bot Incinerator x3 (Sky Raiders Jump Bot Incinerator)
- H.A.V.O.C. (Sky Raiders Jump Bot Incinerator)
- Mysterious Soldier (Nemesis Lieutenant)
- General Z (NPC Ally)
|Lockhart Aerotech supplies|
|These boxes contain supplies that were supposedly stolen from Lockhart Aerotech over the last few weeks.|
|General Aarons' story|
|When you rescued General Aarons, he told you:
"Yes, I am General Z. I spearheaded the creation of the Vigilance military unit, but I retired in disgrace when Virgil Duray led his men in mutiny. By now you know all I do. That some morally bankrupt members of the government planned to use these traitors, the Sky Raiders, for their own ends. And that Tyrone Lockhart has been secretly funneling aid to the Sky Raiders for his own purposes.
In the world of military secrecy and subterfuge, shadows can breed in the hearts of even the best men. Once this news is out, some of the worst offenders will face justice. You've done supremely good work, and I believe you are a true hero."
All the evidence about the military connection to the Sky Raiders has gone on to the proper people. My military contacts have reported a sudden flash of resignations going high up the chain of command. Also, I think you'd be interested to know that the FBI has started an investigation into Tyrone Lockhart, CEO of Lockhart Aerotech. It seems they don't appreciate his company's efforts to supply the Sky Raiders with technology.
You've wrapped this one up nicely. But one thing still bothers me. That lab with the new Sky Raider gear. They were reverse engineering technology that looked like it belonged to Nemesis. Yes, Nemesis. The arch-villain who tried to take over the United States during the 1940's. No one's heard from him in 60 years, but that technology looked brand new. Puzzling, puzzling. Maybe we'll learn more about this one day.
Go to the warehouse and recover anything you find there Edit
Investigations by some contacts of mine have located one of the main storage warehouses for the Family's smuggling operation in Independence Port. Now all I need is a hero willing to go to that warehouse and recover anything there. Hopefully, there might be something there that could link them to one of the European syndicates.
If the operation's ringleader is there, I want him arrested. Otherwise, I'm afraid this mission will be a failure.
Search the place thouroughly; we need to recover everything they have. Most importantly, do not let the ringleader escape. He's certain to have valuable information for us.
This large warehouse, has clearly seen a great deal of use recently.
- Recover Family contraband
- 7 Crates remaining, Don't let Draco escape!
You have located all the contraband in the warehouse.
- Draco (The Family Underboss)
|The label on this Superadine sample is in Italian. It would appear that the Family has connections in Europe.|
|You found the Sforza Horse.
This valuable 'objet d'art' was stolen from a shipment on its way to the Paragon City Museum from Milan.
|You found counterfeit Euro's.
The bundles of bogus bills in here are difficult to identify as counterfeits
|When you captured the smuggling ring's leader, Draco, he said: 'I'll tell you alls you wants to know! Just don't put me back out on the street after a failure like this!'|
You hit the jackpot! Superadine samples that were ready for shipping to Europe, couterfeit foreign bills, and a valuable art treasure stolen on it's way here. This will go a long way in bringing these thugs down.
Prevent Frankie from sleeping with the fishesEdit
Word on the street is that Frankie Frost, the nephew of Family head Sebastian Frost, is in big trouble. His uncle has called for him to be killed, apparently because the punk was skimming. How stupid can you be? Frankie might be willing to talk if he thinks that he could be protected, and that could hurt the Family badly. I need you to prevent Frankie from sleeping with the fishes. He's on the run right now; you've only got 90 minutes to find him.
Frankie took to the streets this morning. I called for an emergency force field, but I'm afraid I may not have been fast enough to keep the Family from tailing him.
The residents of Picadilly Row have wisely decided to remain inside today. The streets are deserted except for the Family
- Capture Frankie & his men - 90 minutes timed
You defeated all the Family and safely captured Frankie Frost.
- Frankie Frost (Family Underboss)
With Frankie Frost in custody, we can get a lot of dirt on the Family. This was definitely a coup.
Get over to Speilman's warehouse and defeat any of the Family you find there Edit
A warehouse owner named Karl Speilman has reported some trouble with the Family. They want him to pay protection money to them and have warned him that bad things are going to happen today if he doesn't pay up. Get over to Speilman's warehouse and defeat any of the Family you find there. You have about an hour at most to stop the Family.
No time to waste, hero, they could be busting the place up already. You'll need to defeat all of the Family's goons in Speilman's warehouse to show them that the city won't tolerate hoods like them abusing upright citizens.
Signs of struggle and property damage indicate that the Family, is already here.
- Defeat all Family at Speilman Warehouse - 60 minutes
You defeated all members of the Family.
- Buster (Family Underboss)
- Karl Speilman (Hostage)
- 3 Warehouse workers (Hostages)
Ordinary business people like Karl Speilman are what keep a city running. You did a good thing protecting his warehouse today.
Go to the office, prevent the fire from starting, and rescue the people that are being held by the Family Edit
I have something that requires your attention. Sometime soon, the Family is going to do an arson job on a local business. It belongs to someone in their organization, who wants the insurance money. In addition to the property damage, the Family is arranging for several people to be in the building when the fire starts, so that it will seem more like an accident. Go to the office, prevent the fire from starting, and rescue the people that are being held by the Family. The fire bombs they use have to be disarmed simultaneously, so bring along a couple of teammates. You only have 90 minutes to stop the attack.
You'll need to concentrate on disabling the devices that will start the fire and rescuing the innocents. Don't worry too much about the individual Family goons.
You know that time is not on your side. Finding those fire bombs and innocents are the absolute priority.
- Prevent the Family arson job - 90 minutes timed
- 7 hostages, 3 bombs to disarm together
You stopped the fire bombs and rescued the innocents.
- Hostage x7 (NPC Hostages)
Debriefing (Mission Failure)
I wish you had been faster, Character. The building is gutted, but at least those captives managed to get out in when the Family left early
Debriefing (Mission Success)
It's hard to think about how callus the Family could be toward those people's lives. It's sickening. That's not even to mention how far that fire might have spread.
Go see Gordon Bower Edit
I'd like you to make a little trip up north. There's a friend of mine named Gordon Bower who could really use your help. Gordon's the Mayor of a little resort village named Salamanca. Lately the atmosphere up there has been... well, weird. Disturbing. Deadly, even. There's far too much for me to explain, and you might not believe me if I did. You'll just have to see it for yourself.
The village's name is Salamanca, but people have been calling the area Croatoa lately. You'll see why once you get there.
- Go see Gordon Bower
Thank you for coming. As you can see, this Salamanca isn't a nice place to live. Not anymore. We've got a few amateur mystics trying to keep our town safe, but we need more than their spells. We need you.
I know Salamanca's problems aren't the only ones you face. Come at any time, and I will be grateful for your help.
There is no debriefing from your original contact for this mission and no experience is given for it. Additionally, the mission will drop off your mission list automatically and you are not required to return to your contact to remove it.
Go to the office where Frank Brandon works, and get him out safely Edit
The Family has discovered the identity of a man that was placed in the witness protection program after testifying against another crime organization on the west coast. The man's cover identity is, Frank Brandon. I think the Family is going to take him out as a favor to the West coast syndicate. I have someone headed to his apartment, but I need you to cover his workplace. Go to the office where Frank Brandon works, and get him out safely. He's in serious danger, and probably has less than an hour to live.
Hurry, they may be on their way there, already.
As you approach, it seems clear that the Family have chosen to strike Frank Brandon here, at his workplace.
- Save Frank Brandon - 60 minutes timed
You have rescued, Frank Brandon
- Mr. Wolfe (The Family Consigliere)
- Frank Brandon/Roger Marshall/Will Tripper (Hostage)
The person to be rescued may also be named Roger Marshall or Will Tripper.
It's a good thing you were fast. You saved Frank Brandon's life today. He's going to be moved to a new city, and hopefully might see some peace and quiet this time.
Make sure the Family doesn't hire the Freakshow Edit
I've heard from several of my contacts that the Family have set up a meeting with the Freakshow. There's a good chance that they're planning to hire the Freakshow as extra muscle in their battle against the Warriors and the Tsoo. That would be a bad thing. It would be a good idea for you to make sure no deal gets made. You'll need to move fast on this one. This meeting won't take more than an hour and a half.
My sources tell me that the Freakshow chose the venue, which might explain why they're meeting in the sewers. You're main goal is simple. Take down everyone there. If we're lucky, they may even end up blaming each other.
The muck is disturbed in a way that indicates a large number of people came through this area recently.
- Defeat all Family and Freaks - 1:30 timed
The Family and the Freakshow have all been defeated.
- Lynchpin/Rivets (Freakshow Tank Smasher)
Sounds like it was an uneasy alliance to begin with, but I am glad you cut it off completely. The last thing the city needs is further Freakshow involvement between the Family, the Tsoo, and the Warriors.
Check the research facility and make certain that Dr. Bradley and his people are safe Edit
The Sky Raiders were recently stealing Rikti technology for a European crime syndicate. Interpol caught the syndicate's buyers, but not the Sky Raider contacts. Officially, the case is closed, but I think the Sky Raiders may try to make some side money by stealing more Rikti technology. We have their list of targets facilities, and I've been asking heroes to check things out. Could you go to one of the targeted facilities and make certain that Dr. Brandon Bradley and his people are safe?
If the Sky Raiders are going to attack that lab, you'll have your work cut out for you. Ensuring the safety of Dr. Bradley and his people will be your to priority. Also, the Sky Raiders employed jump-bots on each of the previous thefts, so if they do hit this place, you'll have to take it out too.
The improved security on this facility has obviously been bypassed. It looks like the Sky Raiders are already on the attack.
- Defeat leader Raider, his guards
- 2 technicians to save, Find Dr. Bradley
You rescued Dr. Bradley and his assistants and recovered a Jumpbot memory unit.
- Hostage x2 (NPC Hostage)
- Dr. Brandon Bradley (NPC Hostage)
- Assault Jump Bot
|Dr. Bradley conversation|
|When you rescued him, Dr. Bradley told you:
'It's lucky you arrived when you did. The Sky Raiders were going to take anything that wasn't bolted fast! They wouldn't have found much here, however, as we had just transferred much of the Rikti technology we had been studying to another facility. However, they spoke of being on a tight schedule to finish this series of raids, so I'm afraid they may be planning to strike other locations.
|Jumpbot memory unit|
|You recovered this memory core from a Sky Raider Jumpbot during battle. It may contain useful data. Justine Kelly, the noted computer hacker, might be able to reveal its secrets.|
- Talk to Justine Kelly
Christine Lansdale said you would be coming. Jumpbot computers are normally destroyed when they self destruct, so this is a really lucky catch. Let me take a look. Deep analysis would take too long, but I can give you it's rendezvous coordinates. Go check them out.
|Sky Raider Coordinates|
|Justine Kelly was able to pry a great deal of information from the Jumpbot memory core you captured, including a return location that should lead right back to the Sky Raiders.|
You are greeted almost immediately by the sounds of conflict.
- Defeat all Sky Raiders
You cleared the Sky Raiders Facility.
You did a great job fighting through what was starting to look like a total mess. I'm guessing the Lost tried to jump the Sky Raiders to steal whatever Rikti devices they'd found and sell them. It is kind of weird that they acted so quickly, though, but there are a lot of mysteries about the Lost. The important thing is that you stopped the Sky Raiders.
Hit the streets and defeat a few Sky Raiders Edit
The Sky Raiders have been increasing the tempo of their operations, apparently they think that a couple of successes against some of the city's younger heroes makes them unstoppable. I'd like to see them get stopped, hard, and I would like to see you do it.
The Sky Raiders got a few successes in Terra Volta recently, but wherever or whenever you can stop their actions is a good place to start.
- Combat Sky Raider menace
- Defeat 30 Sky Raiders
You have defeated out enough Sky Raiders.
The Sky Raiders are a pretty bold and gung-ho outfit. But I think you've done a great job of showing them that their kind of law-breaking won't be tolerated.
Defeat members of the Family in Independence PortEdit
The Small business association in Independence Port are reporting an increase in activity by The Family in the zone. They're pushing people around and acting like they're the real power in the area. People are hoping that a hero will be willing to show those thugs who the real power in the city is.
Defeating about 30 Family members or so should be enough to demonstrate that they're not untouchable. I've heard that they've recently stepped up operations around Power Island, but you should be able to make an impression on them anywhere in the zone you can find them.
- Defeat 30 Family in Independence Port
You have defeated enough The Family
Thugs like the Family always try to assert their power over honest people. As long as there are heroes to stand against them, they won't be able to get away with it.
Break up deal between the Sky Raiders and Family Edit
The Sky Raiders and The Family aren't always on the best of terms, but they've been known to make deals with each other from time to time, Usually The Family likes to hire the Sky Raiders for mercenary work against their enemies, however, from time to time they have goods they want to exchange, This time, I've learned where such a deal is about to go down. Interested in breaking that deal up? They'll try to take care of business fast, though, you'll probably only have an hour and a half at the outside.
You'll have to do more then just show and bust some heads to see this one through, You'll need to gather all of the evidence and take down the negotiators for both sides. It's very likely that they'll be well protected, though, so you may want to take some allies with you. The Raider's negotiator will probably be a Lt. Vega, and if my sources are right, the Family will have 'Spats' Malone there for their end of the deal.
You spot Sky Raider guards and Family thugs both keeping watch for trouble. Trouble like you.
- Stop villains' leaders, their men - 1:30:00
- 6 pieces of evidence to gather
You found all the evidence for the deal and defeated both side's negotiators.
- Assault Jump Bot
- Lt. Vega/Lt Gary (Sky Raiders Captain)
- 'Spats' Malone/Joey 'The Shirt' (The Family Underboss)
|Advanced assault rifles|
|These high powered weapons are the type of high-end military hardware normally used by the Sky Raiders.|
|This crate contains dozens of black velvet lined metal cases, each filled with gem-quality diamonds. From the markings on the crate and the few flecks of blood on the cases, you can determine that these diamonds were most likely stolen from the African country of West Libertalia.|
|This crate contains hundreds of vials of Superadine, the drug pushed by the Family and it's sub-groups.|
|These account numbers and passwords will give access to a great deal of money hidden in offshore accounts.|
From what you gathered it looked like they were trading Weapons and diamonds for Superadine and money in offshore accounts. I'm glad you were able to break this one up, it would have been the kind of win-win deal for the bad guys that would have made innocent people lose.
Defeat Sky Raiders in Terra Volta Edit
The Sky Raiders shouldn't be hard to find, but I've heard that the Challenger Technology center and the Carter Engineering complex are particularly overrun right now. That doesn't mean you have to confine yourself to those areas, though.
- Combat Raiders in Terra Volta
- Defeat 30 Sky Raiders
You defeated enough Sky Raiders in Terra Volta.
The word is out that the Sky Raiders are reassessing their activities after the battle you gave them. Good work.
Take the fight to the Family in Independence Port Edit
I have a warning for you. My contacts tell me that the Family have put the word out that you're not welcome in Independence Port. They've put a hit on you, and a bounty for any family member who takes you down. I think you might want to be a bit pro-active and take the fight to them on the streets of Independence Port.
The Family don't play around. You'll have to defeat about 30 of them or so to get the message across that you're not playing either. If you're having trouble finding them, you might want to try the Justice Quay.
- Defeat the Family in Independence Port
- Defeat 30 Family
You've taught the Family the lesson. The hit is off.
The Family have withdrawn the hit on you. You caused enough damage that it was just too dangerous for them.
Fight the Sky Raiders in Terra Volta Edit
The Sky Raiders are starting to get out of control in Terra Volta. Their raids and constant thefts are a real hazard to the complex's continued operations. I need a hero who is willing to confront them and stop some of their actions in Terra Volta.
The Sky Raiders have been spotted all over Terra Volta, but if you're having trouble looking for them, I'm sure you'll find them around the Rogers Industries facility and the Gordon Trench, though you shouldn't have to confine yourself to those areas.
- Combat Raiders in Terra Volta
- Defeat 30 Sky Raiders
You have cleared enough Sky Raiders from Terra Volta to put a dent in their operations.
The Sky Raiders may be able to fly, but you've shown them that they aren't above the law.
Stop the Dimensional Shunt Edit
We just got a call from Dr. Julia Zaahn, the head researcher at a Portal Corporation facility. The Sky Raiders have launched an attack there. Their weapons have caused massive amount of damage and have started a feedback loop, that could cause the whole place to be shunted into another dimension. Get over there fast, and rescue the researchers. You only have 90 minutes to stop the Sky Raiders.
This mission is going to be a tough one. If Dr. Zaahn is right, she's going to need all of her lab techs working to prevent an accident, and a lot of them are being held by the Sky Raiders as hostages. What's more, there are a number of devices and computers that will need to be shut down to prevent a jump from taking place. You'll have to handle all of that on a short time limit.
The air crackles with energy, as you enter the facility.
- Stop Dimensional Shunt - 1:30:00
- 6 People to save, 8 devices to shut down
With the assistance of Dr. Zaahn, you were able to prevent the dimensional shunt and saved the Portal Corporation lab.
- Hostage x5 (NPC Hostage)
- Dr. Julia Zhaan (NPC Hostage)
That was a near thing Character. That whole building might simply have been sent to another dimension. The Sky Raiders are ruthless about cleaning up their crimes, but I didn't think they were willing to go that far.
