Character Slot

Overview
A game account with City of Heroes or Villains comes with 8 slots on each server. When applying the opposing game (or if you install GvE), the account gains 4 additional slots per server, bringing the total to 12 per server.
As of Issue 12, additional slots are purchasable and each server has been expanded to allow up to 36 slots.
Assignable Slots
In addition to the 8 (or 12) slots that come on each server, players may acquire and assign additional slots on a server-by-server basis, up to a total of 36 slots on any given server.
- 2 free slots were issued for players logging into their accounts for several weeks after Issue 12 went live.
- 1 free slot is granted with each 12 months of Veteran Rewards (for a total of 4 free ones currently).
- As part of the In-game store, slots can be purchased as follows:
- 1 slot for $5.99
- 2 slots for $9.99
- 5 slots for $19.99
