Introductions Edit

Contact Introduced By Edit

New Contact(s) Edit

I'd like you to meet Oswald Cuthbert. He's a probation officer and thus has a lot of contact with the sordid side of Paragon City. He often uses heroes like you to help him out with the Sky Raiders and the Council. Oswald can get you training enhancements.

Good choice, and good hunting

I have to admit that Georgia Fields doesn't have the best reputation. No one really knows how she gets her information, but she's an excellent source on the Sky Raiders and the Lost. She is usually able to get her hands on training enhancements.

If you are careful, Georgia can be of great assistance to you.

Laura Brunetti could be a useful contact to you. Her supernatural library is unmached, and she is an expert on the Banished Pantheon and the Circle of Thorns. She has Training Enhancements.

Laura has a keen mind and loves to get to the bottom of things. I'm certain you will find work with her enlightening.

Have you ever worked with Miriam Bloechl, the psychic? She's quite talented and enjoys helping heroes with the Banished Pantheon and the Circle of Thorns. She has Training Enhancements.

Miriam's talent is very impressive; you will learn much from her.

Information Edit

Private Security Consultant

Andrea Mitchell is a private security consultant who specializes in protecting clients from paranormal threats. After years spent in the army, Andrea is no stranger to danger, but it's only recently that she became interested in the occult. Two years ago she fell victim to a life-threatening curse while protecting a local businessman who had run afoul of a death cult. She barely survived, but, rather than run from the world of magic like most people would, she vowed to learn more about it. She's been studying hard ever since and knows quite a bit about the supernatural. She also has a wide network of contacts who she turns to for information and assistance, including a number of notable heroes.

Initial Contact Edit

I can really use your help. I'm up to my ears in paranormal protection gigs!

Badge Mission Edit

Stop both groups of mystic madmen Edit

Briefing

A large number of pre-cognitives have been reporting visions of a nightmarish battle beneath the streets of the city. In these visions, the Banished Pantheon cultists battle the Circle of Thorns for control of some sort of mystic vortices that trap wandering spirits. And in these visions, you appear as well. Are you willing to face this vision and stop both of these groups of mystic madmen?

I don't know the purpose of that vortex, but I have been told that you must close it.

Mission Objective(s)

There is no wind down here, but something stirs the air around you. Every sense is on alert as you step into the edge of a spiritual tornado.

You have brought an end to the battle between the Banished Pantheon and the Circle of Thorns.

Enemies

Badge villain banished Banished Pantheon

Badge

This mission earns a hero the Spirit Warrior Badge.

Badge stature 04 Spirit Warrior

You stopped a war between the Banished Pantheon and the Circle of Thorns.

Debriefing

The Circle of Thorns and the Banished Pantheon are nightmares enough on their own; I'm impressed by your ability to battle their forces together. From what you heard, it seems that the Circle may have been trapping the spirits of the dead, then extracting information from them. Perhaps the Pantheon sought those same trapped spirits to slake their hungers.

Story Arc Edit

Souvenir Edit

Hub of the Wheel of Destruction

You've kept this small metal cylinder as a reminder of one of your great adventures. It has lost its blood red color and is no longer hot to the touch. The symbol of Kali is the only indication of the potential danger posed by:

The Wheel of Destruction

It all began when you encountered two broken pieces of stone. Each was marked with cryptic runes, and it seemed clear that the two pieces were once one. According to Azuria, they were parts of the Wheel of Destruction, an artifact infused with deadly power.

Disturbed by the awesome power of the Wheel, your contact did some research and located two more pieces. One was in the possession of the Tsoo; the other was being used as an office decor by a wealthy executive. You rescued both pieces, after lengthy battles with the Tsoo and the Banished Pantheon.

You took the pieces to Azuria for safekeeping and analysis, but the Banished Pantheon broke into the MAGI vault and made off with them. Azuria warned you that the Pantheon probably planned to empower the wheel with an arcane ritual. You rushed to their lair, where you defeated the Pantheon and recovered the Wheel of Destruction.

Start of Story ArcEdit

The Wheel of Destruction may start with either the Stop the Warriors from stealing the museum's artifacts mission, or the Take the artifact piece to Azuria mission. Whichever mission didn't start the arc will be the second mission in the arc.

Additionally, the third and fourth mission can occur in either order.

Stop the Warriors from stealing the museum's artifacts Edit

Briefing

Looks like the Warriors are at it again. They've broken into the warehouse where the museum was storing next month's feature exhibit. Whatever they're looking for, we need to keep it out of their hands. Please go stop the Warriors from stealing the museum's artifacts.

I am not sure how long they will be there, so move as quickly as you can.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Stop gang leader and his crew
    • Rescue the artifact

You have defeated the Warriors and recovered a piece of the Wheel of Destruction.

Take the artifact piece to Azuria Edit

Briefing

One of my heroes found this broken piece of stone while he was stopping a Banished Pantheon plot. It looks familiar, and I need to find out more about it. Can you take the artifact piece to Azuria? I'd really like to have her opinion.

My instincts tell me that this thing is important. Watch out for trouble.

Upon accepting this mission, a hero will be ambushed by a group of Tsoo.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Deliver artifact to Azuria

Debriefing

Where did you find this? It appears to be one of the pieces of the Wheel of Destruction! You are meant to keep this. Do not question me; many villains in Paragon City would kill to have the fully assembled Wheel of Destruction.

Debriefing

If Azuria said you are meant to hold onto it, then that is what you should do. She is never wrong about things like that.

From the looks of it, there are at least two more pieces to this Wheel of Destruction. It is likely the Banished Pantheon will be searching for these pieces as well. This marking upon it is the symbol of Kali.

Get the relic fragment back from the Tsoo Edit

Briefing

I just found out why the Tsoo tried to steal that piece of the Wheel of Destruction from you. They already have one of the other pieces! We need to get that relic fragment back from the Tsoo.

We both know they won't give it up without a fight.

Collect the piece of the Wheel of Destruction Edit

Briefing

After calling around, I found another piece of the Wheel of Destruction. The CEO of Vorhight Industries is using it as a conversation piece in his office. I told him of its origin, and now he can't wait to get it out of his hands. I just need you to run over to the office and collect the piece of the Wheel of Destruction.

If the Banished Pantheon caught wind of this, there's no doubt they'll be after that piece too.

I hope the Divinations group over at MAGI can unlock the secrets of the Wheel of Destruction.

Patrol Independence Port Edit

Briefing

You look like you could use an easy task, <name>. After all your work retrieving the pieces of the Wheel of Destruction, you deserve it. Hey, could you patrol Independence Port for me? The Family has been extorting protection money out of the business owners over there.

Thanks again for all the help you've been giving me.

Debriefing

I just got a call from MAGI's Divinations group. The Banished Pantheon broke into their vault and stole those artifact pieces you collected! According to the seers, the Pantheon plans to perform a ritual to empower and assemble the Wheel of Destruction. You have to stop the ritual!

I have MAGI scrying for the current location of the Wheel of Destruction.

Prevent the Banished Pantheon from completing the ritual Edit

Briefing

We have to recover those relic pieces the Banished Pantheon stole from MAGI. Otherwise, they'll assemble the Wheel of Destruction and empower it!

MAGI's seers have pinpointed the location where the Pantheon is trying to empower the pieces, under the direction of a cultist called Archos. I'm counting on you to prevent the Banished Pantheon from completing this ritual. You only have 90 minutes to stop the ritual.

According to my sources, the ritual is taking place in the old Shady Pines Graveyard. I've called for an emergency force field to lock the situation down until you arrive. The Pantheon may have already empowered the pieces of the Wheel of Destruction, but the assembly should take a while. To stop them, all you need to do is find one piece of the Wheel of Destruction.

Mission Objective(s)

You feel the presence of powerful otherworld entities looking down on you. Banished Pantheon missions always give you the creeps.

  • Defeat Archos and his coven - 1:30 timed
    • Close portal, 4 artifact pieces to find

You have succeeded in stopping the ritual. You now possess all the pieces of the Wheel of Destruction.

Assist the Security Chief in Independence Port Edit

Briefing

Time to take a bite out of crime. The Security Chief in Indy Port wants some help with those scumbags from the Family. Go lend him a hand.

If you get a chance, take a look at the Statue of Wavelength near the water. She was a speedster who fell in the Rikti War.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Assist the Security Chief

Briefing

Here's some information on the area. We've been having a lot of trouble with the Family, especially in Crey Cove and Bell Point. I really need you to lend a hand.

Icon clue generic

This is where many brave heroes defended the city against an invading space armada back in the 50's. Paragon City renamed the area Independence Port, in honor of the heroes who died in that epic battle. You'll see the big statue of Cassiopeia by the bridge; she was one of the famous heroes who died in that fight. It's a shame that organized crime runs the docks nowadays. The Family pulls all the strings here, despite the best efforts of law enforcement.

Find the missing class Edit

Briefing

Professor Black from Paragon University recently took an advanced class of geology students spelunking in the caves under the city. It's kind of a tradition for him, but this was the first time he's taken a class down since the Rikti War. According to the dean, that class hasn't reported back yet. Somebody's got to find that missing class. You only have 75 minutes to find the students.

I'm worried about this class. They were supposed to be back hours ago.

Mission Objective(s)

A few sack lunches and a muddy textbook are the only signs that the missing students were ever here.

  • Defeat lead mystic and his coven - 1:15:00
    • 4 people to save

You defeated the Circle of Thorns and rescued Professor Black and his students.

Icon clue generic

When you rescued Professor Black, he said:

'It was most extraordinary! We had found what looked to be some sort of earlier excavation. It was incredible. The huge caverns! The most amazong rock formations! There was a strange stone that looked as though it were some sort of petrified ice. We'd just located some sort of man-made stone work, when we were suddenly surrounded by those robed figures! It's a good thing you came along when you did!'

Recover the armor from the Circle Edit

Briefing

There's been a break-in at the Paragon City Museum of History. The thieves made off with a large portion of the exhibit on the Spanish conquest of the new world. The centerpiece of the collection was the Armadura del Sol, a set of conquistador's armor said to be enchanted with the power of the sun. It has no magical powers now, but it's said that a mage could learn much from studying the armor. For this reason, I suspect the Circle of Thorns are behind the theft. Will you recover the armor from the Circle?

The Armadura del Sol is composed of six pieces. You'll have to find and recover all of them to make sure the Circle's mystics can learn nothing from it.

Mission Objective(s)

The air of these caverns feels unusually warm, almost as though the sun could penetrate their depths.

  • Defeat lead mystic and his crew
    • Find 6 pieces of the missing armor

You have found all the pieces of the Armadura del Sol.

Icon clue generic

Debriefing

Recovering the Armadura del Sol will have ramifications far beyond these city walls. You did the world a service today. The Armadura del Sol was said to have once been powerful enough to level a city. If the Circle truly understood its power, they must be a more fearsome foe than we had guessed.

Find Suzanne Trent Edit

Briefing

In the wake of the Rikti War, there's been a resurgence of all kinds of mysticism. This has helped in some cases, even providing the city with new hope. But it has also caused a great deal of trouble. One new cult calls itself the Banished Pantheon. They have some sort of dark power; they can animate the dead and call spirits from beyond the grave! A reporter named Suzanne Trent was investigating them, but now she's gone missing. Please find Suzanne Trent as soon as possible.

The creatures we have seen the most frequently have been dubbed Husks; they seem to be made from the animated bodies of the dead.

Debriefing

According to Suzanne Trent, the Banished Pantheon is investigating all beings of power. I must say, that phrase has an ominous ring to it. Depending on the definition, it could include heroes like yourself.

Recover idols from the Banished Pantheon Edit

Briefing

There was a break-in at the Paragon City Museum. The thieves stole two items on loan to the museum from Mexico, stone idols to the Aztec gods Coatilcue and Tlaloc. One of the guards identified the thieves as members of the Banished Pantheon cult. Will you recover the idols from the Banished Pantheon? They probably have the idols under magical guard; you'll need a teammate to help break their spells of protection.

I don't know the reason for the Banished Pantheon's interest in the old Aztec gods, but it can't bode well.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Defeat lead cultist, his coven
    • 2 idols to recover simultaneously

You have recovered the missing idols.

Icon clue generic
Aztec idol of Coatilcue
This idol is dedicated to the Aztec goddess Coatilcue, the Earth Mother.
Icon clue generic

Debriefing

Recovering those idols stopped a minor international incident. From what you tell me, it sounds as though the Pantheon planned to feed on the spirits of those old Aztec gods. Fascinating. I cannot begin to fathom their motives.

Curtail Circle rituals in Talos Island Edit

Briefing

The Circle's activities in Talos Island have grown more brazen and outrageous lately, and everyone is starting to fear for their lives. I'd like you to curtail some of their rituals in Talos Island. Circe Island and Eleusis are particularly overrun, but I'm sure you can find places all over the zone to take a stand against them.

Good luck to you in this battle. The city's hopes go with you.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Defeat Circle in Talos Island
    • Defeat 20 Circle of Thorns

Debriefing

You've dealt a great blow to the Circle of Thorns' plans. You have my thanks, and the city's thanks.

Take the fight to the Banished Pantheon in Dark Astoria Edit

Briefing

Ever since Astoria became a hazard zone, few have dared to venture in there. Those that return report wandering hordes of Husks and Chambers animated by the dark powers of the Banished Pantheon. As long as they control the zone, it will be impossible for the city to retake that part of the city. I need you to take the fight to the Banished Pantheon in Dark Astoria.

You could start in Romero Heights or Dido's View. Those neighborhoods are especially overrun.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Combat Pantheon in Dark Astoria
    • Defeat 20 Banished Pantheon

You have lessened the Banished Pantheon's hold on Dark Astoria.

Debriefing

Through your efforts and those of other heroes like you, Dark Astoria may one day be restored to the city. Thank you.

Clear the Banished Pantheon out of Dark Astoria Edit

Briefing

Though no one lives in Dark Astoria any more, there are still reports coming in from the few brave souls who are willing to venture into that haunted place. One of the more disturbing reports is that much of the zone is now overrun with walking dead controlled by the Banished Pantheon. If the city is ever to retake Dark Astoria, we'll need heroes like you to clear the Banished Pantheon out. Raimi Arcade and Toffet Terrace are completely overrun, though I think you can find cultists in any section of the zone.

Be cautious. Dark Astoria is a dangerous place. I'd recommend taking allies with you when you venture there.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Combat Pantheon in Dark Astoria
    • Defeat 20 Banished Pantheon

You have decreased the number of Banished Pantheon cultists in Dark Astoria.

Debriefing

It may take years to get the Pantheon out of Dark Astoria, but with heroes like you on the case, it'll happen someday.

Hit the streets and defeat a few Circle of Thorns mystics Edit

Briefing

The mysterious mystics of the Circle of Thorns have been appearing in greater numbers lately. I need you to hit the streets and defeat a few Circle of Thorns mystics in order to ensure the citizens' safety. I understand that numbers of them have been spotted in Talos Island, but I'm sure any zone in the city would welcome your help.

You'd best keep your wits about you. The Circle's mystics are dangerous foes.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Combat Circle of Thorns menace
    • Defeat 20 Circle of Thorns

You have discouraged the Circle of Thorns from threatening the citizens' safety.

Debriefing

You have done very well. The Circle is sure to know you're watching their every move.
